Job Description

• Act as the first point of contact for student-related incidents and well-being concerns.
• Assess students' needs and provide immediate support during difficult situations or emotional meltdowns.
• Apply de-escalation strategies and help students return to class.
• Build trust and rapport with students through regular engagement.
• Identify and provide proactive support to students with attendance, motivation or peer relationship issues.
• Work with Year Heads and Student Well-being teams to support student development programmes.
• Provide mentorship and ongoing support to students who need additional assistance.
• Monitor students' progress and prepare regular reports.
• Escalate critical concerns such as self-harm, violence, fights and bullying to school management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, YouthWork or a related Social Science field.
• At least 1 year of experience working with youthsaged 12–18 in schools, residential homes or community centres.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to remaincalm and empathetic in challenging situations.
• Good communication skills with the ability to buildrapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Resilient and able to handle setbacks patiently.
• Patient, compassionate and a good team player.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
