Role Description

Support private banking clients through responsive service, effective relationship coordination, and access to appropriate wealth management solutions. Work with investment, credit, operations, and compliance teams to address client needs while maintaining confidentiality and disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate client enquiries, meetings, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Support onboarding, customer due diligence, periodic reviews, and account maintenance.
• Gather information on client objectives, financial circumstances, liquidity needs, and risk preferences.
• Coordinate portfolio reviews and discussions with authorized investment specialists.
• Process or coordinate client instructions after required identity, authority, and approval checks.
• Prepare account summaries, meeting materials, and relationship reports.
• Liaise with operations teams on payments, settlements, account issues, and service requests.
• Support lending requests and facility reviews with relevant credit specialists.
• Maintain accurate client records, communication notes, and outstanding action trackers.
• Identify service gaps and escalate complaints, unusual activity, and control exceptions.
• Protect sensitive information and follow confidentiality and information handling procedures.
• Support relationship development and business growth within assigned responsibilities.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• Private Banking Assistant: Manage administrative arrangements, client documentation, appointments, and routine service coordination under guidance.
• Private Banking Associate: Independently coordinate assigned client service activities, account requests, review preparation, and operational issue resolution.
• Private Banking Relationship Manager: Lead assigned client relationships, develop relationship plans, and coordinate wealth and financing solutions. Provide recommendations only within professional authorization and applicable suitability requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in private banking, wealth management, banking operations, client services, or a related field.
• Understanding of banking services, investment fundamentals, and client confidentiality.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive requests and competing priorities.
• Familiarity with CRM, account servicing, and banking systems.
• Sound judgment, professional integrity, and discretion.
• A degree or diploma in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant licenses, examinations, or professional authorization where required for assigned activities.
• For associate roles, experience independently coordinating client requests and resolving service issues.
• For relationship manager roles, experience managing affluent or high-net-worth client relationships, developing business, and assessing client needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with investment products, portfolio reporting, secured lending, or cross-border service arrangements.
• Experience supporting source-of-wealth and source-of-funds reviews.
• Relevant banking, wealth management, investment, or financial planning qualifications.
• Experience working with investment advisers, product specialists, and compliance teams.
• Additional language skills relevant to the client base.
• Understanding of the service needs of entrepreneurs, families, and family offices.

Scope by Role

• Private Banking Assistant: Provides administrative and day-to-day service support to private banking teams.
• Private Banking Associate: Owns assigned client servicing and coordination activities, with scope determined by the bank’s structure.
• Private Banking Relationship Manager: Owns client relationship development and coordinated service delivery, balancing commercial objectives with suitability, confidentiality, and risk controls.
