Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
Experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related function within a regulated industry.
Knowledge of supplier qualification processes, incoming inspection systems, and corrective action methodologies.
Understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.
Ability to analyze technical data, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in routine and moderately complex situations.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Ability to organize, present, and communicate technical information clearly to internal audiences.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, component quality standards, and industry best practices.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality, compliance, and patient safety.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers by assessing their technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
Provide technical support during the introduction and qualification of supplier components.
Develop, maintain, and improve incoming inspection procedures and train inspectors accordingly.
Source, develop, and validate inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
Support the creation and review of component specifications and quality requirements.
Prepare test protocols, oversee qualification testing, issue reports, and approve components for production use.
Partner with design engineering teams on component selection, quality assessments, and reliability analysis.
Investigate incoming material defects, determine disposition, and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
Review design specifications to ensure manufacturability, quality, and supplier capability considerations are addressed.
Investigate supplier-related field failures and coordinate corrective and preventive actions when required.
Maintain compliance with quality system requirements, quality policies, and documented procedures that support product quality and patient safety.
