Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Tonehouse Studios is a premier recording and rehearsal studio located in central Singapore, offering professional spaces for musicians, bands, producers, and creators. The studio provides fully equipped rooms for band rehearsals, jamming sessions, recording, podcasts, music events, and post-production. It serves as a collaborative hub where artists across genres develop new material, prepare for live performances, and produce high-quality audio content. Tonehouse Studios supports the full creative journey, from initial rehearsals to final recordings and performances, in a comfortable and inspiring environment. The team is actively building initiatives that help musicians collaborate, learn songs together, and perform live.

Role Description This is an internship, hybrid Audio Engineer role based in Singapore, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Audio Engineer intern will assist with setting up and operating studio equipment for rehearsals, recording sessions, podcasts, and live-style performances. Day-to-day tasks include configuring microphones, managing sessions, monitoring sound quality, and supporting basic mixing for clients or editing under supervision. The intern will help maintain studio spaces, check equipment functionality, and assist in troubleshooting audio and AV setups for sessions. The role also involves collaborating with clients and staff to ensure an efficient, safe, and professional studio environment.

  • Foundational skills in Audio Engineering and Sound Design, with an understanding of recording workflows and basic mixing concepts.

  • Knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems and Acoustics, including room sound behavior, monitoring setups, and basic system troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with digital audio workstations (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live) and common studio hardware (interfaces, mixers, monitors).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a professional, respectful approach to working with clients and colleagues.
  • Interest in music production, live sound, or studio operations; prior project or portfolio work is an advantage.
  • Relevant coursework or training in audio engineering, music technology, media production, or a related field is preferred.
