Internship – Business Partnership

Ready to embark on your professional journey and gain meaningful work experience in a function where actuarial knowledge meets client engagement, market insights and business development?

Join ML Re and gain first-hand exposure to how a reinsurer works closely with its cedants to understand market needs, identify opportunities and build strong business relationships.

As part of our Business Partnership team, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with reinsurance practices, contribute to market research and industry analysis, and support initiatives that strengthen our engagement with cedants and industry partners.

What You'll Learn:

• Understand reinsurance treaty terms and practices, and prepare internal summaries to support the Business Partnership team’s engagement and day-to-day activities.
• Conduct market research, industry statistics compilation and analysis of Individual Life products to support market insights and identify potential business opportunities.
• Develop clear and engaging marketing materials and business presentations to support cedant engagement, industry events, seminars and promotional activities.
• Support the team in engaging with cedants and industry stakeholders, gaining exposure to client relationship management and business development.
• Participate in relevant projects and ad hoc initiatives, with opportunities to network and engage with leaders across ML Re.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, preferably in your 2nd or final year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with different stakeholders.
• Proactive, curious and willing to learn, with an interest in reinsurance, business development and the insurance industry.
• Available for internship from October/November 2026 onwards.
