Role Description The Quality Assurance Intern will support the QA team in ensuring the reliability and consistency of software solutions and digital systems delivered by ETD Digital Global. This internship role is on-site in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and involves assisting in test planning, executing test cases, documenting defects, and verifying fixes across web, mobile, and internal platforms. The intern will help maintain QA documentation, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and project managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Day-to-day tasks may include functional, regression, and user-acceptance testing, preparing test reports, and supporting quality reviews to align with internal standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with an interest in applying these practices to software and digital systems.
  • Awareness of Quality Management principles and Quality Auditing concepts, including basic exposure to process documentation and compliance checks.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar structured quality frameworks is an advantage, especially for projects with industrial or regulated contexts.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic skills in software testing (manual testing, writing simple test cases, documenting issues) and familiarity with common bug-tracking tools is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to follow structured procedures and guidelines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and accept feedback constructively.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation, with a willingness to learn new tools, methodologies, and technologies.
