Job Descriptions

• Responsible for purchases of ferrous scrap metal based on pricing/specification/quality standard established by company policy;
• Develop business growth of existing accounts (scrap metal generators) and prospect new potential accounts in dedicated region;
• Visit clients regularly, and gather market intelligence on industry activities;
• Maintain records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities.
• Ensure smooth delivery of order from/to supplier site
• This is more than a purchasing role — you will be involved in scrap metal sourcing, supplier development, price negotiation, market intelligence and business growth.
• Identify and source ferrous scrap metal from factories, manufacturers, contractors and other industrial sources.
• Any other ad hoc task assigned by immediate superior

Requirements

• Required language(s): Mandarin (preference), English, Bahasa Malaysia, or any dialects;
• Familiar with MS Offices application;
• Experience in the scrap metal or steel industry (highly advantageous, but not essential);
• Possess driving license and own transportation;
• Require to travel outstation when needed;
• We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Prior experience in the scrap metal, steel, recycling, industrial sales, construction materials, metal trading, or related industries will be an added advantage. Fresh candidates with a strong interest in sales and business development are also encouraged to apply.
