About KKV
KKV is a lifestyle collection retail brand under KK Group, bringing together beauty and skincare, snacks and beverages, stationery, toys, and everyday lifestyle products under one roof. Our stores are high-traffic, visually driven destinations where new arrivals, seasonal themes and in-store experiences are central to how customers discover the brand.
We are looking for an intern who can help translate that in-store energy into social media content that actually performs with Malaysian audiences.
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, hands-on and social-media-savvy intern to manage and grow KKV Malaysia's local social media presence.
This is not only a coordination role. You will be involved in the full content process — from researching trends and developing ideas to filming, editing, publishing and reviewing content performance. The ideal candidate understands Malaysian consumers, follows retail, beauty and lifestyle trends closely, and is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day social media execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of KKV Malaysia's social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
- Develop a monthly content calendar aligned with brand priorities, product launches, new store openings, promotions and retail activities.
- Research Malaysian social media trends, viral formats, local cultural moments and competitor activities.
- Create localized content in Bahasa Malaysia and English for the Malaysian market.
- Plan, shoot and edit short-form videos, product and new-arrival showcases, store content, in-store campaign footage and promotional materials.
- Write engaging captions and adapt the brand's communication style for different platforms.
- Publish content consistently and ensure that all posts are accurate, timely and aligned with the brand image.
- Support community management by monitoring comments, messages and audience feedback.
- Identify relevant Malaysian KOLs, micro-influencers and content creators, and support outreach, product seeding and campaign coordination.
- Assist with in-store campaigns, new store openings, promotional events and other retail marketing activities.
- Track basic social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth, video views and content conversion, and suggest improvements based on the results.
- Perform other marketing and content-related tasks when required.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Business, Creative Media or a related field.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Good working proficiency in English. Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Malaysian social media landscape, especially TikTok and Instagram.
- Familiar with local beauty, skincare, lifestyle, snack and youth-consumer trends.
- Able to independently manage the daily execution of a social media account with guidance from the team.
- Able to generate content ideas and turn them into completed posts or videos.
- Basic video shooting and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva or similar applications.
- Creative, proactive, responsible and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet content deadlines.
- Willing to visit stores and support retail campaigns or events when required.
- Willing to work occasionally during evenings, weekends or public holidays, depending on campaign, store-opening or event schedules. Replacement leave or time-off arrangements will follow company policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, freelance or hands-on experience in social media management or content creation.
- Experience independently managing a personal, brand, university or business social media account.
- Experience producing beauty, lifestyle, retail, food or product-focused content.
- Familiarity with Malaysia's local KOL, micro-influencer and creator ecosystem.
- Existing relationships or contacts with local content creators or KOLs would be an advantage.
- Comfortable appearing in front of the camera when required.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and content-performance reporting.
