Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for managing daily finance operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. The role involves handling full set accounting functions, financial analysis, budgeting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage full set of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliation.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

  • Review and process supplier invoices, payments, and staff claims.
  • Monitor customer billing, collections, and outstanding receivables.
  • Ensure timely payment processing and accurate reconciliation of vendor/customer accounts.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.

3. Cash Flow & Financial Analysis

  • Monitor daily cash flow position and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Analyse expenses, revenue performance, and cost trends.
  • Support management with financial insights for business planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

4. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in SST, tax submission, and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities during audit processes.

5. Finance Operations Improvement

  • Review existing finance processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support implementation of finance systems and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure internal controls are followed to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior finance team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
  • Experience handling full set accounts is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Familiar with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and time management skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA/CPA/MICPA are an added advantage.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, or service industry.
  • Experience handling multiple branches/entities is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM4,800.00 per month

Work Location: In person
