About the role

The MCMC Internship Programme - RISE@MCMC is designed to attract potential and brightest talents who are up for the challenge in diverse business functions. The programme provides opportunities to gain valuable hands-on exposure and experiences in areas such as communications, research, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and event management. Interns contribute meaningfully to the department's operations by supporting the delivery of high-quality initiatives and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of corporate communications initiatives and departmental projects.
• Support media monitoring, news tracking, and preparation of communication reports.
• Assist in content development for internal and external communication platforms, including social media, website updates, newsletters, and publications.
• Provide administrative and secretariat support for meetings, events, and engagement programmes.
• Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution, including stakeholder and logistics management.
• Support documentation, filing, record management, and maintenance of departmental databases.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials, reports, correspondence, and communication related documents.
• Conduct basic research and data collection to support communication strategies and campaigns.
• Support content management for internal and external communication channels, including digital platforms and social media.
• Coordinate administrative tasks, meeting arrangements, and follow-up actions as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of the department's objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mass Communication/Communication and Media Studies/ Strategic Communication/Public Relations and Corporate Communications

Must be willing to be based in Cyberjaya
