Must possess a Secondary School Certificate (SPM) or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role.

Proficient in basic food preparation techniques, including chopping, dicing, and peeling.

Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.

Strong understanding and adherence to kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.

Experience with basic cooking methods such as sautéing, grilling, and boiling.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Familiarity with knife skills and safe handling of kitchen equipment.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and supervisors.

Willingness to perform dishwashing duties as required.

Must be able to work part-time shifts at our Sunway Velocity Mall location.

Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia for clear communication.

Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.

Perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking simple items under supervision.

Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict kitchen hygiene and food safety standards at all times.

Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to ensure cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.

Support the kitchen team by performing various tasks as directed, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.

Learn and apply basic cooking techniques and knife skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.

Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated according to food safety regulations.
