• Exposure to Singapore’s energy eco-system: Understand how each element fulfils its role in meeting energy security.
• Energy markets: Introduction to NEMS and Singapore gas market.
• Commodity markets: Understanding the role of LNG globally and in Singapore.

LNG Terminal Mid-Stream Operations & Regasification Process

• Process Understanding: Gain industry know-how and familiarity with LNG importation and terminal operations.
• Grid Interface & Gas Send-Out: Learn how LNG send-out is nominated and managed to meet grid demand requirements set by the Power System Operator (PSO) and gas buyers.

Throughput Capacity, Planning & Scheduling

• ADP, Slot Allocation & Scheduling: Understand the commercial and operational mechanics behind allocating berthing slots, cargo unloading schedules, and vessel reload operations.
• Capacity Utilization & Optimization: Exposure to throughput inventory management.

Data Analytics & Process Improvement

• Analysis: Exposure to optimisation (OR). Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as daily send-out rates, terminal inventory, energy consumption, and efficiency metrics.

Contracts and Commercial Structures

• Market/Regulatory structures, Terminal Use Agreements (TUA): Gain exposure to the contractual terms governing throughput services, storage rights, reload services, and quality specifications between SLNG and its aggregator/terminal users.
• Hydrocarbon Accounting: Understand the principles of custody transfer, energy measurement and mass balancing across receipt and delivery points.

Requirements

• Undergraduate in any field of studies.
• Keen eye for details.
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Students who can commit minimum 5-6 months, starting Jan 2027.
