This internship is suitable for students who want hands-on experience in machine frame fabrication, sheet metal work and industrial equipment manufacturing.

Job Scope:

• Assist senior fabricators in the fabrication of industrial machine frames and structures
• Assist with MIG welding and TIG welding
• Assist with laser welding and laser cutting
• Cutting, fitting, grinding and preparing metal parts for fabrication
• Fabrication of stainless steel, EG plate and GI plate components
• Assist in fabrication of stainless steel water tanks
• Assist with sheet metal bending, drilling and assembly work
• Read and follow basic fabrication drawings and dimensions
• Check dimensions and alignment during fabrication
• Assist with finishing, grinding and polishing of fabricated parts
• Assist with machine body, panel and frame assembly
• Maintain welding tools and fabrication equipment
• Keep the fabrication area clean and organised
• Follow workshop safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Currently studying Certificate / Diploma / SKM in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or related technical course
• Basic welding or metal fabrication knowledge is an advantage
• Basic MIG / TIG welding experience is an advantage
• Willing to learn laser welding and laser cutting
• Able to perform hands-on workshop work
• Responsible, punctual and willing to learn
• Able to follow instructions from senior technicians and fabricators
