About Yayasan Jantung Malaysia (aka.The Heart Foundation Malaysia)

The Heart Foundation of Malaysia is located at Wisma Yayasan Jantung Malaysia, 6 Lorong Lai Tet Loke 2, Off Loring Gurney, *4100 Kuala Lumpur. This building is opposite Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) of Jalan Tun Razak. The building houses the Secretariat Office, Meeting Room, CPR Training Room, Library, Hall and Halfway House which provides affordable accommodation for relatives of outstation heart patients.

The Heart Foundation of Malaysia was founded by The Rotary Club Di Raja Kuala Lumpur in 1982 under the Presidency of Datuk Dr. J.S.Sambhi. It was formed at a public meeting at the Royal Selangor Club by a group of people from all over the Country, who were determined to make an impact on the control of Cardio-Vascular Diseases in Malaysia. The incidence of Heart Diseases was increasing and approaching epidemic proportions.

However, more than 30 years later, Cardio-Vascular Deaths are still Malaysia’s No. 1 killer. More people are being affected by Heart and Blood Vessel Diseases. No age is exempted.

The Heart Foundation of Malaysia is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the prevention of Heart and Circulatory Diseases in providing support for Heart Patients and their families.

We conduct Awareness programs for the Rural Communities, Heart Week programs, Walk-a-Mile, Go Red For Women and have a HALF-WAY HOUSE for outstation patients/relatives (east Malaysia included) who are unable to afford accommodation during Medical and Surgical treatment in Kuala Lumpur.
