About The Pure Life Society

The Society was registered in 1950 and this is the first NGO set up in a war-torn nation soon after World War II. A Home and school was established for orphans, underprivileged children and displaced families in 1952 on a two-acre piece of land which went uphill. In 1980 the need arose to put up a 4 storey-building to accommodate 140 children whom we had at that time.The 4-storey building was funded entirely by the public through appeals and fund-raising programmes. Up to date over 2000 children have gone through the organization and innumerable displaced families have made good of their lives..
