About Syarikat Tenaga (Gemas) Sdn Bhd

Syarikat Tenaga (Gemas) Sdn. Bhd. (“the Company”) was incorporated in Malaysia under the Company Act, 1965 on 16th March 1981. The Company is wholly owned by Seng Fong Trading Sdn. Bhd. which has more than 30 years of experience in rubber processing business. Seng Fong Trading Sdn. Bhd. is a family controlled company owned by its managing director Er Hock Lai, its executive chairman Er Ley Tee and their brothers. The Company has achieved great success over the years and has grown rapidly under the supervision of its managing director. The group’s annual turnover is about USD 300.0 million, of which, about 99% are exported overseas.

 

The Company’s factory is located in Gemas, Negri Sembilan, where the processing facilities are made available, whereas the administrative and marketing operations are managed from the Head Quarters at Muar, Johor.

 

The Syarikat Tenaga (Gemas) Sdn Bhd. is a member of The Malaysian Rubber Board with the approved rubber processing license. The Company also holds Quality Management System Standards ISO 9001:2000, EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 9001 and MS ISO 9001 Certificate approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.

 

The current production capacity of the factory is 100,000 metric tons of different grades of natural rubber per annum. The Standard Malaysian Rubber (SMR) grades produced in the factory are: SMR GP, SMR 5, SMR 10, SMR 20. Besides the SMR grades some special grades are also produced as required by the consumers, some of which are ST10CV, ST20CV, M20R and others as per specification.

 

The processing machinery being used are presently the latest model in Malaysia, therefore, we have the advantage of utilising updated machinery which is versatile to process different grades of natural rubber.
