Position Overview

We're seeking a talented Video Editor to create compelling 90-second podcast trailers that have become a recognized staple in the podcasting industry. You'll be responsible for transforming 1 to 2-hour raw podcast episodes into narrative-driven promotional content that generates millions of views and builds community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Storytelling

Transform raw 1 to 2-hour podcast episodes into engaging 90-second trailers
Develop narrative structures that follow guests' life journeys and episode flow
Create emotional roller coaster experiences that mirror real-life ups and downs
Craft compelling hooks and cliffhanger endings that drive viewership

Technical Production

Edit video content using advanced editing software
Create and implement After Effects enhancements and visual effects
Source and integrate relevant b-roll footage
Design animated subtitles that draw viewer attention
Mix and master audio for optimal social media performance

Content Strategy & Analysis

Analyze podcast scripts and raw recordings for key emotional moments
Select content that fits our four-part framework (Hook, Value, Emotion, Cliffhanger)
Conduct A/B testing on various elements (text, music, effects, duration)
Monitor performance metrics and optimize based on viewer engagement

Workflow Management

Complete 2 high-quality trailers per week (2.5 days per trailer)
Manage systematic "zoom-in" processes for music, visuals, and text
Collaborate with team members and leadership on creative direction
Maintain consistent quality standards across all deliverables
