About Us -

Shalom House, a project of Streams of Joy, is a Christian based non-profit center, specially set up for students with learning disabilities who cannot cope with formal schooling. Shalom House caters for person with Autism, Attention Deficit, Hyperactive Disorder, Down's Syndrome & Educationally Sub-normal.

Our Vision -

To continue the holistic mission of improving the intellectual disabled towards independence.

Our Mission -

1. To assist the intellectual disabled person to achieve their highest potential towards living

in a supported community.

2. Our approach is holistic taking into account the spiritual, physical, emotional and

intellectual needs.

3. We believe that the family plays an important role in the upbringing of the intellectual

disabled.

4. We seek to impart information and skills to empower parents.

Our Objectives -

1. To provide structured learning environment to encourage and nurture mediated learning.

2. To teach and collaborate with parents in developing the intellectual disabled to his or her potential despite their disabilities.
