About R&D Serindit com UUM Sdn Bhd

We have been the backbone of Research & Development (R&D) for Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in the area of ICT with the aim of improving the productivity and competitiveness of all industries through the use of ICT.

R&D SerindIT Com UUM Sdn. Bhd. (“SerindIT”) was incorporated in October 2002 on a strong foundation to be the backbone of research and development (R&D) for Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in the field of ICT with the aim of improving the productivity and competitiveness of all industries through the use of ICT. SerindIT is determined to spearhead the transformation by deploying strategic ICT solutions and cultivating a stimulus for knowledge economy through ICT by strengthening national and industrial competitiveness.

 

Through SerindIT, UUM is the first university in Malaysia to embark on the setting up of a Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC), which will promote and support the effective use of business intelligence in the university. The establishment of the centre is part of the university's drive to become a centre of excellence for management

 

At the early establishment, our core competency is R&D-based and it covers a wide spectrum of ICT products which include hardware, software, professional services, and education.
