About PT Foundation

 

PT Foundation (previously known as Pink Triangle) is a community-based, voluntary non-profit making organisation providing HIV/AIDS education, prevention, care and support programmes, sexuality awareness and empowerment programmes for vulnerable communities in Malaysia. Since PT Foundation was founded in 1987 to provide telephone counselling about HIV/AIDS and sexuality, it has expanded its services responding to the needs and concerns of various communities that are discriminated against because of HIV, AIDS. At PT Foundation, we believe real change - that makes a positive and lasting impact in people's lives - takes place through community development methods as recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). These methods include peer outreach, safe spaces, community-appropriate information and ensuring that programmes are largely 'owned' and managed by the respective communities.
