About Persatuan Kanak Kanak Istimewa Kajang Selangor

Created out of a community need and appeals from parents, a Centre then known as Pusat Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang (PKIK) was set up to provide services for children/persons with learning disabilities on 5 June 1995. PKIK is officially registered on 6 May 1998 as “PERSATUAN KANAK-KANAK ISTIMEWA KAJANG SELANGOR”. As a welfare, non-governmental organization (NGO), PKIK is totally dependent on donations and contributions from organization, associations, societies, clubs, members of the public, parents and families. Tax exempt receipts are issued for donations. A Management Committee of 11 voluntary elected/appointed members comprising parents and individuals is responsible for carrying out the objectives and management of PKIK.
