Interning at Perdana has allowed me to gain valuable experience in bioinformatics. A typical day at work involved processing genetic data and analyzing species for specific projects using basic gene editing tools. The most challenging aspect of the job was learning shell scripting skills, as I had limited experience in this area. I find working at Perdana enjoyable because the colleagues are friendly, the facilities are good (although parking fees are expensive due to its location in Damansara Heights), and there is good medical and dental coverage as well as hospital insurance. AL and Replacement Leave are easily approved if applied for correctly. The cafe and food options in the area are affordable, and there are also amenities such as a Surau, ATM, and TnG top-up counter available in the building.
