About Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Melayu

MCCM is a non-political, non-profit organization owned and directed by its Malay members accountable to individual businesses of all sizes and sectors in Malaysia. It is a powerful and influential entity of Malay businesses and associations that serves, not only its members, but also the entire Malay business community. Every state in Malaysia has its own branch Chamber, including Sabah and Labuan that reaches to the entire business community, providing services, information and guidance to its members.
 
DPMM offers a diverse approach to networking, entrepreneurial development and business facilitation for small and medium enterprises especially, and other enterprises in general, to its members who own a business, represent one, lead a corporation and even manage an association. MCCM or also known as Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM) - with the firm belief that unity is strength - strives to bring all Malay entrepreneurs (regardless of size and sector) under its tutelage and umbrella. It aims at providing services beneficial to its members.
 
The Chamber aims at providing every beneficial business service to members. Its main objectives are to:
  • Promote, protect and preserve the interests of members;
  • Obtain, analyse and disseminate trade information to members;
  • Produce publications relating to trade, industries and commerce;
  • Assist or represent members in discussions regarding trade, both locally and abroad;
  • Represent members in government bodies and agencies or special committees relevant to trade, industry and commerce;
  • Co-ordinate members’ activities and solve any problem or misunderstanding among members;
  • Act as an umbrella for the Malay entrepreneurs, businessmen and professional for their mutual benefit;
  • Issue certificate of origin to Malaysian goods for export;
  • Communicate and co-operate with other bodies and associations having the same objectives with the Chamber;
  • Collaborate internationally and maintains liaison with a number of commerce overseas and other economic organisations.
