Sushi YA was established in October 2015, founded on the core belief of offering authentic Japanese cuisine at an accessible price point. The name "Sushi YA" (寿司屋), meaning "sushi shop" in Japanese, is a simple yet profound reflection of the company’s mission—to provide a homey and welcoming dining atmosphere where customers can savor exquisite Japanese dishes.

Every Sushi YA restaurant is designed around the concept of a kaiten belt system, ensuring that customers are always presented with freshly prepared, high-quality sushi. This setup not only adds an element of convenience but also offers a constantly evolving menu featuring a wide selection of sushi, chinmi (rare delicacies), and desserts. In addition to sushi, guests can enjoy an extensive range of bentos, sashimi, and traditional Japanese set meals, all prepared to the highest standards.

Sushi YA’s first outlet, located in Raja Uda, Butterworth, quickly gained a loyal following.
