Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and technically adept Technical Support Engineer with 2 to 3 years of experience in an asset management environment, ideally within the energy sector. The successful candidate will provide technical support across multiple operational sites, ensuring efficient performance of asset management systems. Knowledge of IBM Maximo is a strong advantage. This role requires the ability to work independently, possess own transport, and be willing to travel to remote and field locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for asset management systems used in energy operations, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues related to energy infrastructure and asset tracking.
Support configuration, deployment, and maintenance of asset management platforms, particularly IBM Maximo (if applicable).
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and IT teams to support business continuity and asset performance.
Travel to remote sites and field locations to provide on-site support, conduct system assessments, and implement technical solutions.
Document incidents, resolutions, and best practices; contribute to internal technical knowledge base.
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate higher-level support teams or vendors.
Provide training and user support to operational staff in the effective use of asset management tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

2 to 3 years of technical support experience in an asset management environment, preferably in the energy sector (power generation, transmission, utilities, oil & gas, etc.).
Experience with asset lifecycle management and field operations support.
Knowledge of IBM Maximo is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with ITSM processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple support tasks simultaneously.

Additional Requirements:

Possess own transport and valid driver’s license.
Willing and able to travel to various operational and field sites.
Basic knowledge of networking, SQL, or scripting is a plus.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
