East Indies Mansion is a luxurious landmark authentic heritage building in the heart of the UNESCO Heritage Core Zone in George Town.  Steeped in history, this former residence of Koh Lay Huan, a founding father of Penang, has been painstakingly restored to its original design and detail, transporting guests back in time to reside in the private mansion of a prominent wealthy merchant in 18th century Penang.  The mansion features eight unique well-appointed suites of varying types, each tastefully decorated and uniquely designed.
