About Berjaya Vacation Club Berhad
Berjaya Vacation Club Berhad (BVC) was incorporated in Malaysia on 2nd April 1992 as a private limited company with an initial paid-up capital of RM2. BVC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Land Berhad, a public listed company in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) in Malaysia. Berjaya Land Berhad is part of the Malaysian conglomerate Berjaya Corporation Berhad.
BVC was converted from a private limited company to a public limited company on 17th November 1992. Our paid-up capital has been increased several times thereafter. In a restructuring exercise at the end of April 1997, BVC acquired from Berjaya Land Berhad twelve of its principal hotels, resorts and condominiums valued at RM721 million. As at 13th October 2004, we have a total paid-up capital of RM1.2 billion, making us the highest capitalized vacation ownership company in the region.
