In 2019, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—I left my stable career as a petroleum engineer to pursue real estate sales. Many of my friends thought I was crazy. Although the pay was good, working offshore for long periods left me feeling exhausted and unfulfilled. I kept asking myself, “Is this really the life I want?” One Saturday, a friend invited me to a real estate career sharing session. Seeing someone who had successfully made the same career switch inspired me to take the leap. Two days later, I submitted my resignation. Starting from scratch wasn’t easy. As an introvert, I had to overcome my fear of talking to strangers, handling rejections, and learning sales. I told myself to stop overthinking and give it my all. Over time, I grew more confident, embraced every challenge, and rediscovered my passion. Looking back, I’m grateful I had the courage to step out of my comfort zone. That one decision completely changed my life.
