Starbucks in Malaysia is operated by Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd, a licensee of Starbucks Coffee International Inc., and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berjaya Food Berhad. Since its first store opening in Kuala Lumpur on December 17, 1998, Starbucks has expanded its presence across all 16 states and territories in Malaysia. Currently, there are 402 stores throughout Malaysia, including 77 Drive-Thru stores and 18 Reserve™ stores. With over 24 years of operation in Malaysia, Starbucks has not only become Malaysians' favorite coffee place but also an active member of communities across the country. As an industry leader, Starbucks Malaysia continuously provides convenience to its customers and is in a phase of rapid expansion with 45-50 store openings per year. 

Starbucks first opened in Malaysia at KL Plaza in Kuala Lumpur in December 1998. Malaysia is also home to the world's first Starbucks Signing Store, located at Bangsar Village II.
