1001tech Group comprises 1001 Technologies Sdn Bhd as our holding company with three 100% wholly-owned subsidiaries – 1001 eHealth Sdn Bhd, 1001tech Amaryllis Sdn Bhd and 1001tech IPVox Sdn Bhd - each of which are proudly Malaysia Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status-holders.

Mr Looi Kien Leong is a well-known industry veteran within the Malaysian ICT circle with industry experience that spans almost 30 years. His experience includes starting up a company from zero-base and growing it to become one of the largest public-listed System Integrators in the country. He is an active leader, advocate, and supporter of the ICT industry at the local, regional and global levels through his active participation in various industry groupings. Looi has been an active proponent of PIKOM – the National ICT Association of Malaysia – for the past 14 years in many capacities including serving as the Chairman from 2001 – 2003. During his tenure as PIKOM Chairman, Mr Looi effectively contributed strategies and charted directions to propel the ICT and multimedia industry growth in Malaysia. He has also successfully championed the bid to host the 16th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008), making Malaysia the first South East Asian country to host this prestigious ICT event. The WCIT event is a premier world conference held every alternate year. He was appointed as Director for WCIT 2008 Sdn Bhd and also Chairman of the WCIT 2008 Project in PIKOM. Looi has also been a key member in helping the Malaysia ICT industry to identify individuals, students, entrepreneurs, SMEs and organisations with outstanding achievements. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Panel of The Faculty of Information Technology, Multimedia University (MMU) for the academic session of 2006-2009. Looi is currently an Adviser to the PIKOM Council and chairs the association’s International Affairs Committee. On 1 January 2010, Looi began his tenure as the President of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO). Additionally, Looi has been elected to represent Malaysia as a member of the steering committee (Board) for the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) – a world association governing the ICT industry, and currently sits on the board of directors for WITSA. Mr Looi holds a Bachelor of Economics (1977) and a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science (1978) from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.
