The Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) or Rahmah Cash Contribution in English, is the government's assistance initiative for low- and middle-income groups who qualify and need support to face the cost of living challenges. By retargeting subsidies, the government can improve and increase cash aid to the people through STR 2024, ensuring low-income households continue to receive appropriate help.
Who is eligible to apply for STR 2024?
Applicants are eligible to apply for STR 2024 if they meet the following criteria:
Household
Married; or
Single mother or father/widow/widower with children who meet the conditions; and
Household income of RM5,000 and below.
Seniors Without Spouses
Single or single mother or father/widow/widower without eligible children; and
Aged 60 years and above; and
Income of RM5,000 and below.
Single
Single or single mother or father/widow/widower without eligible children; and
Aged 21-59 years; and
Single Persons with Disabilities (OKU) aged 19 years and above; and
Not a full-time IPTA / IPTS student; and
Income of RM2,500 and below.
Note: Single individuals aged 21 and above, including disabled persons aged 19 and above who are still studying full-time at Public or Private Higher Education Institutions, can only be included in household applications as child/dependent information and are not allowed to apply as single individuals.
When will STR applications open?
STR applications will be open throughout the year from 01 November 2023. Meaning applicants can submit STR applications at any time throughout the year.
When is the STR Phase 3 2024 Payment Date?
The STR Phase 3 payment date starts in August 2024. The payment dates for phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 in 2024 are:
According to the Rahmah Cash Contribution FAQ 2024, the amount of STR 2024 assistance is as follows:
Household Income Less than RM2,500 per month
RM2,500: 5 children or more
RM2,000: 3 – 4 Children
RM1,500: 1 – 2 Children
RM1,000: No children
Household Income: RM2,501 – RM5,000
RM1,250: 5 children or more
RM1,000: 3 – 4 Children
RM750: 1 – 2 Children
RM500: No children

Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah Payment Method
The Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah payment methods are as follows:
Credit to Bank Account
Payment will be credited to the recipient's/spouse's bank account.
Cash at the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Counter
Payment will be made in cash if:
No bank account information is provided.
The crediting status is a credit failure.
Forgot the Password for the STR?
Visit the MYSTR website.
Click "Forgot Password."
Enter your 12-digit MyKad number and click "Check."
Enter your registered email and click "Next."
Verify the security password and click "Yes."
Answer the security questions and click "Next."
Enter a new password and confirm it. Then click "Change Password."
You will receive a notification of a successful password change.
If you forget and fail to answer the security questions three times, your MYSTR ID will be blocked, and you will be allowed to try again after 24 hours. The public should always be cautious of unauthentic links from irresponsible parties regarding information about STR.
