Job Scope / Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing space planning, layout plans and design concepts.
• Assist in producing 2D drawings, detailed drawings and 3D visualisations.
• Prepare and update design presentations, mood boards and material boards.
• Assist with material, colour, furniture, lighting and finishing selections.
• Conduct basic measurements and assist with site surveys when required.
• Coordinate design information with the Project, QS and Site teams.
• Assist in checking drawings and ensuring design details are practical for construction.
• Attend site visits to understand actual construction and fit-out works.
• Assist with design amendments based on client comments and site conditions.
• Research new materials, products and interior design trends.
• Maintain proper organisation of drawings, design files, samples and project documentation.
• Perform other design-related tasks assigned by the project/design team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field.
• Familiar with design/drawing software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Enscape, Lumion or similar software.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva will be an advantage.
• Able to understand basic technical and construction drawings.
• Creative, willing to learn and attentive to details.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently with guidance.
• Interest in commercial interior design, renovation and fit-out projects.
• Fresh graduates waiting for graduation may also apply.

We are looking for a motivated Interior Design Intern to join our Design & Build team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real commercial renovation and fit-out projects, from design development and material selection to site implementation.

The intern will work closely with our project and design team and gain practical experience in how interior designs are developed, coordinated and built on site.
