Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Application Project Manager to lead the planning, delivery, implementation, and support of technology projects within the banking and financial services environment. The role involves managing application projects across the full SDLC while ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, security, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT application projects from initiation and requirements gathering through implementation and post-production support.
• Manage banking applications and systems such as Core Banking, Internet/Mobile Banking, Payments, Cards, Loans, Deposits, Treasury, AML, Risk, and Customer Management.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, Infrastructure, Security, vendors, and external partners.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resources, budget, and project schedules.
• Prepare and maintain Project Plans, RAID Logs, Status Reports, Risk Registers, Issue Logs, and Change Requests.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, functional specifications, system design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, and production implementation.
• Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and production readiness.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, issues, and changes and ensure timely mitigation and escalation.
• Manage third-party vendors and system integrators, including deliverables, SLAs, timelines, and performance.
• Ensure applications comply with banking security, IT governance, risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Architecture, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Manage production releases, deployment activities, cutover plans, rollback plans, and post-implementation reviews.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management, steering committees, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, cost, schedule, quality, and governance standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve application processes, system performance, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience managing application development and implementation projects.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SIT, UAT, deployment, release management, and production support.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Strong project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, vendor management, and reporting skills.
• Good understanding of banking applications, processes, and technology environments.
• Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity, data protection, audit, and regulatory requirements.
