Retail & E-Commerce Intern

Location: Cyberjaya, Selangor
Employment Type: Internship
Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Operations

• Assist in managing and processing orders across platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and Facebook.
• Create, update, and maintain product listings, including pricing, descriptions, product information, inventory, and images.
• Monitor online store orders, product availability, and customer enquiries.
• Assist in identifying and reporting platform or operational issues.

Order Fulfilment & Customer Service

• Process customer orders accurately from order placement through fulfilment and delivery.
• Assist with picking, packing, checking, and preparing online orders.
• Coordinate with logistics partners regarding deliveries and collection arrangements.
• Respond to customer enquiries through online, phone, and in-store channels.
• Assist with customer feedback and after-sales support.

Retail Operations & Sales Support

• Assist with daily retail store operations.
• Support shelf replenishment, merchandising, and product displays.
• Assist with in-store sales transactions using POS systems.
• Help customers identify suitable bakery ingredients, baking tools, packaging products, and kitchen essentials.
• Support promotional activities and in-store campaigns.

Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and highlight low-stock or fast-moving products.
• Assist with stock receiving, checking, replenishment, and stock counts.
• Update inventory records accurately.
• Assist with FIFO stock rotation and monitoring of product expiry dates.
• Support inventory accuracy and loss prevention initiatives.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

• Assist in creating content for social media platforms, including:
• Product features and highlights
• Baking tips and ideas
• Product photography
• Short-form videos and reels
• Promotional content
• Assist with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital marketing activities.
• Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal marketing activities.
• Assist with basic content planning and scheduling.
• Capture photos and videos for online and offline marketing purposes.

Administrative & Reporting

• Assist with preparing invoices, receipts, delivery documents, and packing documentation.
• Maintain organised records of orders, inventory, customer information, and operational activities.
• Assist in preparing basic sales, e-commerce, inventory, and performance reports.
• Perform data entry and other administrative tasks when required.

Events & Customer Engagement

• Assist with workshops, product demonstrations, sampling activities, promotional events, and customer engagement activities.
• Support event setup, registration, customer interaction, photography, and content capture.
• Assist with post-event follow-up and reporting.

Team Collaboration & Store Support

• Work closely with the Retail, E-Commerce, Inventory, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards in retail and packing areas.
• Support the team in achieving daily operational and business objectives.
• Take on ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by Management.

Requirements

1) Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in:

• Marketing / Digital Marketing
• Business Administration
• E-Commerce
• Communications / Media
• Retail Management
• or a related field.

2) Interested in e-commerce, digital marketing, retail, social media, or content creation.
3) Familiar with major social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
4) Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools is an advantage.
5) Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6) Proactive, responsible, organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
7) Comfortable working in a hands-on retail environment.
8) Able to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
9) Interest in baking, food products, bakery ingredients, specialty retail, or F&B is an added advantage.

11) Must be able to reliably commute to Cyberjaya, Selangor.
