Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Application Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, enhancement, and delivery of banking applications and technology projects. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure applications are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with banking, security, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of banking application projects, from initiation and requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, and post-production support.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Business, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Application Developers, QA/Testers, Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, and vendors.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear technical and project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, RAID logs, status reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate application development, system integration, SIT, UAT, performance testing, security testing, and production deployment.
• Manage application enhancements, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and implementation of new banking systems.
• Coordinate with business users and stakeholders to ensure UAT readiness, defect resolution, sign-off, and production readiness.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and delivery blockers.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
• Ensure application projects comply with banking policies, IT governance, information security, risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate change management, release management, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation activities.
• Prepare project status updates and present project progress, risks, issues, and decisions to senior management and steering committees.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, requirement discussions, technical discussions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Ensure proper documentation of project requirements, functional specifications, test results, deployment plans, and project closure documents.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated into future projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience managing application development and implementation projects.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
• Experience coordinating BA, development, testing, infrastructure, security, and deployment teams.
• Strong knowledge of SIT, UAT, defect management, release management, and production implementation.
• Experience with banking applications, financial systems, or enterprise applications.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.
