We are seeking a highly organised and resourceful Event Manager to take ownership of event projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-moving environment, is confident working with clients and suppliers, and can take charge when it comes to live event execution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Take ownership of event projects from briefing, preparation and coordination through to event day and post-event follow-up.
- Translate client requirements into practical event plans, schedules, layouts, and production arrangements.
- Coordinate suppliers and negotiate with vendors covering venues, AV, staging, F&B, décor, printing, photography, and other event services.
- Prepare quotations, budgets, cost breakdowns, and track expenses throughout each project.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure event concepts, branding, and visual elements are delivered as planned.
- Coordinate speakers, emcees, performers, talents, and other event personnel.
- Oversee event-day operations, including crew coordination, setup, troubleshooting, and teardown.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure expectations are managed throughout the project.
- Coordinate photography and video requirements for event documentation and subsequent content use.
- Build and maintain a reliable pool of event suppliers and service partners.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in event management, preferably with an agency or events company.
- Good command of event scheduling, project tracking, budgeting, and coordination.
- Confident communicating and presenting ideas to clients and external stakeholders.
- Able to make quick decisions and resolve unexpected issues during live events.
- Comfortable working outside standard office hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and presentation tools.
