Job Summary
The Factory Manager (FM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain operations within the plant/factory. The FM ensures efficient, cost-effective, and safe production while meeting business objectives, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, team leadership, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily factory operations and production processes
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with different departments to streamline production
- Manage factory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Implement cost-effective production strategies
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment
- Develop and enforce factory policies and procedures
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the factory
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations
- Prepare and manage the factory budget
- Provide leadership and direction to improve overall factory performance
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years in plant/factory operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role (manufacturing/food & beverage sectors preferred).
- Strong knowledge of production processes, and automation.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent team management and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
