About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will handle standard mechanical engineering tasks—ranging from design and analysis to project coordination and site support—while ensuring compliance with industry best practices and safety standards. Be prepared to travel and, where required, stay at project sites for short or extended periods to support project execution, supervise installation activities, attend site meetings, conduct inspections, and ensure work is completed according to project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of tenders, including Bills of Quantities (BQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), material take-offs, cost estimation, and technical submissions.

• Coordinate with procurement, production, site personnel, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.

• Provide site supervision and ensure all work carried out on-site complies with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.

• Conduct site inspections, monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide engineering support during fabrication and installation.

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations, company policies, and client requirements.

• Prepare technical reports, project progress updates, inspection reports, and other engineering documentation.

• Attend site meetings, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and resolve technical matters during project execution.

• Travel to project sites and stay on-site when required to support project execution and operational needs.

• Perform any other engineering or project-related duties assigned by Management.

Qualification & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years* of working experience in mechanical engineering, fabrication, construction, plant maintenance, or a related industry.

• Good knowledge of fabrication processes, industrial installation, engineering drawings, and project execution.

• Experience in preparing BQ, BOM, tender documents, and material estimation is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to travel and occasionally stay at project sites as required.

• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence is an added advantage.
