Job Summary
The Junior Conveyancing Clerk will be responsible for handling sub-sale, loan, and other conveyancing files independently, from the initial stage through to completion. The role involves close liaison with clients, bankers, developers, and government offices to ensure the smooth and timely progress of all conveyancing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sub-sale, loan, and other conveyancing files independently, from the initial stage until completion.
- Prepare, review, and attend to legal documents relating to conveyancing and loan documentation.
- Liaise with clients, bankers, developers, and government offices/agencies (e.g. land office, LHDN) to ensure smooth progress of all conveyancing transactions.
- Attend to clients and correspondences, and prepare status reports and updates for relevant parties.
- Ensure timely submission and completion of all documentation within stipulated deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. accounts, seniors, partners) on billing, disbursements, and file matters as needed.
- Maintain proper filing and record-keeping for all conveyancing matters in accordance with firm procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Firm from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Law or a related field; LLB or candidates pursuing CLP will be an added advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant working experience as a conveyancing clerk in a legal firm, with exposure to sub-sale, loan, and developer (SPA) transactions.
- Knowledge of sub-sale conveyancing procedures, including SPA, loan documentation, and stamping/adjudication processes.
- Familiarity with land office and government agency procedures (e.g. Pejabat Tanah, PTG, Inland Revenue Board/LHDN, National Land Code requirements).
- Working knowledge of banking/loan documentation and liaison procedures with financial institutions.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Meticulous, well-organised, with strong attention to detail and good time-management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, bankers, developers, and government officers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and conveyancing case management/billing systems.
Pay: From RM2,800.00 per month
