Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Develop interior design concepts, space planning, layouts, material selections, and design proposals for design & build projects and tender submissions.
• Prepare design presentations and 3D visuals using relevant design software and PowerPoint.
• Produce shop drawings for loose furniture, interior design, and fit-out works.
• Prepare detailed technical and construction drawings for loose and fixed furniture for factory production.
• Ensure design drawings and documentation are accurate, practical, and aligned with project requirements.

Client & Project Coordination

• Liaise with clients and consultants to understand project requirements and design expectations.
• Present design concepts and provide professional input on space planning, design development, and practical solutions.
• Support projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from design development and tendering to construction and completion.
• Work closely with the QS, Project, and other internal teams to ensure design concepts are properly coordinated and implemented.
• Monitor design deliverables and timelines to ensure projects progress according to schedule.

Digital Design & Virtual Tools

• Develop e-commerce design concepts using relevant design software.
• Create, maintain, and optimise digital SKUs for loose furniture products.
• Support VR-related projects and develop visual layout libraries for the Sales & Design Team.
• Conduct training for business partners on relevant design tools and software when required.

Site Visits & Project Implementation

• Conduct site visits for measurements, verification, and design assessment.
• Coordinate and follow up with the Project Team on site implementation of design works.
• Attend client and project meetings and present design concepts when required.
• Review furniture layouts to ensure proper space utilisation and clear walkways.
• Work closely with the Project Team to ensure design intent is properly translated into actual site execution.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in interior design, furniture design, fit-out, or design & build projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering/design software, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience in preparing technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
• Good understanding of interior design, furniture detailing, materials, and construction processes.
• Strong visualisation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple projects or deadlines.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Willing to travel for site visits and project-related work when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
