IT Operations Manager at Infotree Sdn Bhd, De Centrum Mall, Kajang (in between UNITEN & LLM)

We’re not just looking for someone to keep IT running.

We’re looking for an experienced Manager, IT Operations who can lead the team, manage technical operations, deliver projects successfully and continuously improve the way things are done — with the RIGHT ATTITUDE.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands IT operations from both the technical and management perspective and is comfortable working with clients, technical teams, vendors and management.

You will oversee IT Support, Managed Services, Network & Server Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Cybersecurity and IT projects across Government and Private Sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day IT Operations team, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Oversee IT Support and Managed Services for clients.
• Plan, implement, manage and maintain network and server infrastructure.
• Oversee and support Microsoft 365 environments and related services.
• Ensure appropriate cybersecurity practices and controls are incorporated into IT operations and infrastructure.
• Manage technical troubleshooting, system performance, availability and service issues.
• Lead, guide and develop the IT Operations team to improve technical competency, accountability and service quality.
• Manage IT projects from planning, implementation and monitoring through to successful completion.
• Manage and/or participate in Government and Private Sector IT projects.
• Coordinate closely with clients, vendors, project teams and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IT procedures and operational processes.
• Prepare and review project documentation, technical reports, service reports and management updates.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, resources and risks.
• Ensure projects and IT services are delivered according to agreed requirements, quality standards and timelines.
• Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement within IT operations.
• Support Management in planning technology improvements, operational strategies and service enhancements.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, IT Support, Managed Services or a related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of:
• IT Support and troubleshooting
• Network infrastructure
• Server infrastructure
• Microsoft 365
• Cybersecurity
• IT operations and service management
• Experience in leading and managing a technical team.
• Proven experience managing multiple IT projects and priorities.
• Previous involvement in Government and/or Private Sector IT projects.
• Good understanding of project implementation, technical documentation and service delivery.
• Experience preparing and implementing SOPs, work procedures and IT operational processes.
• Able to prepare clear technical reports, project documentation and management updates.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, vendors, technical teams and management.
• Able to work independently, make sound decisions and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

Must-Have Requirement

Candidates must possess a recognised Project Management certification, such as:

• PMP
• PRINCE2
• CAPM
• or other equivalent recognised Project Management certification.
