Role Description The Research and Development Engineer will work on-site in Puchong in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and improvement of physical AI robotic solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research on new technologies and components, performing feasibility studies, and translating findings into practical product concepts. The role involves developing and iterating prototypes, designing and executing test plans, analyzing performance data, and refining designs based on testing outcomes. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and deployment specialists, to ensure that products are robust, scalable, and suitable for industrial, educational, and data-capture environments. Responsibilities also include preparing technical documentation, supporting field deployments, and offering engineering insights to improve reliability and maintainability of deployed systems.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret test results, performance metrics, and complex technical data.
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept generation, feasibility assessment, and iterative design for robotics or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Testing and validation of hardware and software systems, including test planning, execution, and troubleshooting.
• Background in Research and Product Development, with skills in turning research insights into practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, embedded systems, sensors, actuators, and control systems for robotic applications is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Puchong, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical information clearly in writing and speech.
• Experience in industrial automation, AI integration, or field deployment of robotic systems in Southeast Asia is an advantage.
