About the role

We are seeking a Purchaser Executive to join Betamek Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd in our Rawang, Selangor facility. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our supply chain operations. As a Purchaser Executive, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor relationships, and inventory control to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing and logistics processes. This role is essential to maintaining our competitive edge and supporting the company's growth objectives in the electronics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and selecting suppliers whilst ensuring compliance with quality standards, pricing requirements and delivery timelines

• Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of specifications, quantities and costs

• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms and service levels

• Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining vendor databases with up-to-date information

• Coordinating with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications

• Tracking shipments and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials

• Resolving supply chain issues, including delays, discrepancies and quality concerns

• Maintaining accurate procurement records and preparing regular reports on purchasing activities

• Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities

• Supporting inventory management by forecasting demand and coordinating stock levels

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field

• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles within the manufacturing or logistics industry

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management and inventory control

• Proficiency in using procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines simultaneously

• Knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to the electronics manufacturing sector

• Experience with cost analysis and budget management

• Familiarity with supplier evaluation and performance metrics is preferred
