• Prepare and manage material requirements based on production plans, forecasts, customer demand, and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain material planning schedules to ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
• Review MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and generate material requirements and purchase recommendations.
• Monitor raw material, component, packaging, and other inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure purchase orders are placed and materials are delivered according to the required schedule.
• Monitor supplier delivery status and follow up on delayed, short, or urgent materials.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to verify stock availability, incoming materials, and inventory movements.
• Work closely with Production Planning to align material availability with production schedules.
• Identify potential material shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving, and obsolete materials and take appropriate action.
• Monitor material lead times, safety stock, minimum/maximum stock levels, and reorder points.
• Prepare and maintain material shortage reports, inventory reports, and material planning reports.
• Ensure accurate material master data, BOM, lead time, MOQ, and other planning parameters in the ERP system.
• Review and update material requirements when there are changes in production schedules, demand, or customer requirements.
• Coordinate urgent material requirements and expedite deliveries to prevent production disruption.
• Monitor and follow up on material delivery performance and supplier-related issues.
• Support inventory accuracy by coordinating stock reconciliation and investigating material discrepancies.
• Analyse material consumption, inventory trends, and production requirements to improve material planning efficiency.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering teams to resolve material-related issues.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities by ensuring required materials are planned and available.
• Assist in developing strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize material shortages, excess stock, and inventory holding costs.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, planning policies, and internal controls.
• Perform other planning and supply chain duties assigned by the Planning Manager or Management.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
