HIRING: INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER | BANTING, SELANGOR

Location: Banting, Selangor, Malaysia

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join a leading manufacturing/process plant in Banting, Selangor.

This is a hands-on engineering role covering plant maintenance, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), troubleshooting, project engineering, commissioning, and process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute plant maintenance activities to ensure high plant availability

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors

• Handle E&I engineering activities for new projects and plant improvements

• Support engineering design, technical documentation, cost estimation and project execution

• Review engineering designs and ensure compliance with relevant standards

• Support construction, commissioning, start-up and handover activities

• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and plant equipment issues

• Drive improvements in plant productivity, downtime reduction and cost effectiveness

• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and company requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a process plant environment

• At least 1 year of hands-on Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) experience

• Experience with instrumentation, calibration and weighing systems

• Experience in electrical switchboard/distribution board maintenance

• Good knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Good working knowledge of SAP

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is an advantage

• Familiarity with instrumentation software such as INTOOLS, AVEVA or COMOS is an advantage

• Exposure to instrumentation sizing for control valves, PSV and flow instruments is an advantage

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written

• Strong communication, leadership and coordination skills

INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

Candidates with experience in process plants, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, or other continuous-process industries are welcome.
