Role Description The Additional Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging lessons to secondary-level students, ensuring clear understanding of advanced mathematical concepts and exam requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing teaching materials, conducting classroom instruction, assessing student performance, and providing feedback and academic support. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum content, participate in school meetings and events, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with Maverick’s family-focused values. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kajang, requiring regular classroom presence and active involvement in student development.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Background in Mathematics Education and experience as a Qualified Teacher in secondary-level settings.
• Skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design structured, progressive learning experiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field; teaching certification is an advantage.
• Effective classroom management, clear communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse learning styles.
• Experience preparing students for standardized exams and assessments is beneficial.
• Commitment to student-centered teaching, continuous professional development, and collaborative work with other educators.
