Working Hours :

• Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm

Summary :

To support the Investment Control and General Ledger (GL) teams while exposing the intern to Accounting, IT and FP&A within a capital intensive industry. Expected business impact:

• Operational Efficiency: Reduces manual administration for senior analysts, allowing them to focus on high-value financial analysis and controlling.
• Improved CIP Governance: Accelerates project capitalization timelines and cleans up legacy POs/aging assets.
• Support Normal CAPEX process / adhoc research and analysis work for Investment Control.

Responsibilities :

Focus on operational, back-end, and cross-affiliate coordination tasks across four main pillars:

1. CIP Governance & BSC Liaison

• Partner with the Business Service Center to close operational feedback loops with Project Managers on critical CIP topics:
• Monitoring and addressing project cost overruns.
• Reviewing aging projects scheduled for capitalization or final closure.
• Support on CIP analysis

2. Provide research and analysis for Fixed Asset / IRR topics

• Clear policy for accounting (CAPEX/OPEX/ depreciation period) on different types of spare parts (Critical / Major / consumables) which can be reconciled into our Normals and Inventory processes.
• Harmonize the Fixed Asset categories to improve capitalization process
• Collate Tax depreciation policies for each country in East Asia Pacific scope, and derive financial models to test the impact and sensitivity of tax depreciation on the project IRR%.

3. E-CapEx Data Management & Uploads / Affiliate Support

• Execute bulk project uploads into the e-CapEx platform to ensure timely system setups.
• Verify data accuracy and completeness prior to system creation.

4. Innovate a Centralized “bulk” platform to consolidate Project Maintenance Tasks / Project Creation issues

• [Project Creation] Identify the pain points for Project parameter mandatory fields for structural change and resolve interface issues/delays in oracle/coupa.
• [Project Maintenance] First level point of contact for project extensions - handling the routing, verify approvals, support to raise the tickets, and chase BSC until completion
• Determine frequency of ticket raised with IT support.
• Serve as first-level support for affiliate project inquiries and system concerns.
• Log, track, and follow up on IT and ServiceNow (SNOW) requests to resolve technical and access issues promptly.

5. Cluster Template Replication

• Generate and distribute standardized templates across all operating countries.
• Coordinate mass communications and deadline reminders to stakeholders and project leads.

Requirements :

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance related course
• At least 6 months of internship period
• Local Malaysian only
