Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst & BI Intern. You will be at the heart of our data infrastructure, assisting with SQL optimization, maintaining sophisticated data models (EAV), and building the automation scripts that keep our reporting systems running. This isn't just about making charts; it’s about ensuring the integrity of our data ecosystem, automating manual workflows using Python and SQL, and bridging the gap between raw numbers and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design, development, and optimization of SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Conducting data cleaning and validation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
• Contributing to forecasting and performance tracking logic, including automated capping and reset rules.
• Writing and maintaining Python or SQL-based scripts to automate recurring data preparation and reporting workflows.
• Monitoring data synchronization between internal databases.
• Collaborating with other teams to translate business needs into actionable data insights.
• Documenting data processes, schema logic, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Internship period: 3 - 6 months
• Basic proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel or any related BI Tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, - Lark Base added value)
• The ability to look at a business request and translate it into a technical data requirement.

Pay: RM500.00 per month
