Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end interior design process, from initial concept development through to detailed design and successful project execution.
• Collaborate closely with clients to gather and interpret design requirements, understand their preferences, and align project objectives with overall creative direction and business goals.
• Oversee and evaluate design documentation to ensure accuracy, technical feasibility, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Develop and present design proposals, including mood boards, sketches, renderings, and material selections.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, address design-related issues, and ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with project requirements and client expectations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging materials, and innovative practices to continuously enhance design strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the field.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and support in their professional development.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and overall project feasibility and execution.
• Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of modular systems and carpentry drawings is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong passion for design innovation and a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful results.
• Working knowledge of modular systems and the ability to interpret carpentry drawings is considered a strong asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
