Job Description

Job Summary:

The Principal Commodity Manager, Leadframe is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for Leadframe materials supporting semiconductor backend manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), and Procurement stakeholders to ensure a competitive, reliable, and sustainable supply base while supporting cost, quality, and supply continuity objectives.

The incumbent will serve as the Leadframe commodity subject matter expert, providing market intelligence, supplier insights, and supply chain recommendations to support business decisions and long-term sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to source Leadframe for BE direct material and handling on RFQ, supplier assessment, benchmarking, supply mitigation and dual source development
• Responsible for Supply Base Analysis, develop new China suppliers and perform assessment included Cost Analysis, Financial health, Capability, Capacity and Supply Assurance.
• Be as a Market Expert for Leadframe commodity and be responsible for providing market information to the commodities /Key Stakeholders on the current and future supply chain status.
• Develops 5 to 8 years suppliers' base management and partnerships strategy to create a reliable, risk free and long term source of supply.
• Build a culture of trust whereby work closely with commodity managers and understand the constraints in China market and provide recommendation in short/long terms business.
• Often provides updates/information to a supervisor/Director and updates the company on the team’s progress in meetings or through regular email contact or reports
• Work closely with regional SQE team on local China assessment and selection.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Prefer Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Semiconductor industry or relevant to similar function of commodity business and procurement.
• Strong Knowledge in Back End assembly or Leadframe supply chain process especially for stamping metal and etching are essential.
• Competent in the understanding of manufacturing methods related to Backend Material, technical know-how and lean manufacturer techniques.
• Strong networking in Semiconductor , Good communication and writing skill in mandarin and English
• Aggressive, hardworking and work independence with minimum supervise.
• Required to travel frequently in Asia Pacific Region
